Takuma Sakamoto returns as the Demon Lord in the Isekai anime "How Not To Summon A Demon Lord 2". The story picks up where season one ended, with the Demon Lord, Diablo, looking for a way to free the elf, Shera Greenwood and pantherian, Rem Galleu from the enslavement spell they cast upon Diablo, but rebounded onto them when they summoned him to the game world of Cross Reverie.
Episode 1 introduces new characters into Diablo's growing harem, when Diablo indirectly saves Lumachina Weselia, a priestess who was slated to be killed by the androgynous Paladin Gewalt. After saving her life using environmental magic, she begs him to escort her to the Zircon Tower, which is where his original dungeon from the game is located.
This light hearted fantasy isekai anime plays out the usual isekai tropes with similar fashion while still being entertaining enough to hold the audience's attention. We enjoyed season 1 of this anime when it was released back in 2018 and we anxiously awaiting a second season. If the current season holds the pace it set in episode 1, it is a safe bet that we will watch the entire season. If you enjoy harem isekai anime, then How Not to Summon a Demon Lord worth the watch, but if you haven't watched season 1 you might want to before beginning season two.
