We thoroughly enjoyed the nonsensical violence in Jashin-chan Dropkick!. Based off the popular manga with the same title started in April 2012, it is a easy to follow anime about a college student, Yurine Hanazono, who summons Jashin-chan, a loli devil from the underworld. Now, beholden to Yurine, Jashin-chan tries desperately to kill Yurine and be released from her bonds of slavery. Much to our enjoyment, Yurine disposes of Jashin-chan in spectacular fashion over and over again. Don't fret, Jashin-chan is a devil, she doesn't die despite of Yurine's brutal efforts. With the eye patched Yurine, being the ever so calm psychopath and Jashin-chan being an ultra hyperactive devil desperately trying to be freed from bondage, this appeals to us and fans worldwide. Will it be the best anime this season? Probably not, but this will be in the top 10 and is worth the time. They had us hooked as soon as Ash appeared with chainsaw in hand. While we are all eagerly awaiting the start of Attack on Titan, Jashin-chan Dropkick! will satisfy our bloodlust.....for now.
