Majutsushi Orphen Hagure Tabi was created to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the series by author Yoshinobu Akita with Yuuya Kusaka as illustrator. This is the prequel to the original anime "Majutsushi Orphen Hagure tabi" and "Majutsushi Orphen : Revenge".
Fans of the original stories will really enjoy this prequel which was written by the original author. For those who have never read any of the previous in the Majutsushi Orphen series they will find it easy to get into the story by watching this anime.
This anime begins as Orphen walks in just as an experiment failed with his teacher laying unconscious on the ground and his sister slowly transforming into a dragon. The anime cuts to five years later, where Orphen has become a lousy money lender. (Lousy in the sense that he has difficulty getting people to pay him back). For those 5 years he has sought out Azalie without success, but she suddenly reappears to attack his former school (Tower of Fangs).
We have a vague recollection of the earlier parts of the Orphen story and were excited to see the prequel this season and eager to dig up the original anime. Fans of Action/Fantasy/Magic genres will enjoy this story and will be pleased to be able to continue it at the end of the season by reading the other part, Majutsushi Orphen: Revenge. This story has earned it's place on our viewing list this season and we think it should be one yours as well.
